Our Privacy Promise: We never sell, rent, or trade your personal information. Your spiritual journey is private, and your location data is used strictly for calculating accurate prayer times and Qibla direction.
1. Information We Collect
We only collect information necessary to deliver core application features:

Location Data (Precise & Approximate): To provide accurate Islamic prayer times (Fajr, Dhuhr, Asr, Maghrib, Isha), the Qibla compass bearing pointing towards Mecca, and local weather forecasts. Your GPS coordinates are processed on your device and sent to trusted weather/astronomical calculation APIs only when required. We do not track your location history or use your location for advertising.

Account & Authentication Information: When you choose to create an account or sign in using Google Sign-In, Sign in with Apple, or anonymous authentication, we receive your email address, display name, and unique user identifier. This information is used exclusively to sync your personal bookmarks, Quran progress, and prayer logs across your devices.

Device & Diagnostic Information: We collect anonymous device diagnostic information, including app crashes, OS version, device model, and performance metrics via Google Firebase Crashlytics to quickly resolve crashes and ensure app stability.

Usage & Analytics Data: We collect aggregate, anonymized usage statistics (e.g., screens visited, features accessed) via Google Firebase Analytics to understand which features are most helpful to our community. This data is never linked to your personal identity.
2. Third-Party Services & Integrations
We work with industry-standard, privacy-compliant service providers to operate Iman Flow:

Google Firebase: Used for secure user authentication, cloud database synchronization (Firestore), crash reporting (Crashlytics), and anonymous app telemetry.

Apple WeatherKit: Used to deliver accurate, localized weather conditions. No personal identity is transmitted with weather coordinates.

In-App Purchases & Subscriptions: All transactions are processed securely directly through Apple App Store In-App Purchases or Google Play Billing. We never see or store your payment card numbers, bank account numbers, or billing addresses.
3. Data Retention & Account Deletion

How to Delete Your Account and Data
You can permanently delete your account and all associated cloud data at any time:
- Directly in the App: Go to Settings → Profile / Account → Tap Delete Account.
- By Email Request: Send an email to support@imanflow.ca with the subject "Delete My Data", and our team will permanently delete your records within 48 hours.
Upon deletion, all stored user preferences, bookmarks, streaks, and identifiers are irreversibly purged from our database.
4. Children's Privacy
Iman Flow is designed for general audiences and does not knowingly collect or solicit personal information from children under the age of 13. If you believe that a child has provided us with personal information without parental consent, please contact us at support@imanflow.ca, and we will promptly remove the information.
5. Security of Your Information
We employ industry-standard encryption protocols (HTTPS / TLS 1.3) for all communications between your device and our servers. Data stored in Google Cloud Firestore is secured with strict role-based security rules ensuring only authenticated users can access their own data.
6. International Privacy Rights (GDPR / CCPA / PIPEDA)
Depending on your location, you have rights under applicable privacy legislation (including Canada's PIPEDA, the European Union's GDPR, and California's CCPA/CPRA):
- The right to know what personal data we hold about you.
- The right to request correction or updating of your data.
- The right to request complete deletion of your data ("right to be forgotten").
- The right to withdraw consent at any time without penalty.
7. Changes to This Privacy Policy
We may update this policy periodically to reflect enhancements in our app or regulatory updates. When changes are made, we will update the "Effective Date" at the top of this document. Continued use of Iman Flow after updates constitutes acceptance of the revised policy.
